ESTATE agency William H Brown in Wisbech has had a fantastic start to 2012.
According to its data, there were 22 per cent more property sales in the first six weeks of this year compared to 2011, the highest number the agent has seen in the last five years.
The William H Brown team has also seen increases in the number of prospective buyers currently looking for property, the amount of online interest in homes for sale and the number of sellers putting their homes on the market, although the demand for properties to buy still far outweighs the number available making it a great time to sell your home.
“We’ve had a strong start to 2012 and expect this to continue as we enter the traditionally busy spring period,” said branch manager, David Staveley.
“Buyer demand is at its strongest for five years, in part due to greater availability of mortgage finance and greater confidence, but sellers need to take advantage of this now if they are looking to sell their home.
Buyers looking for mortgage finance should also act now and come and see our Mortgage Services Consultant to discuss their options.
“We’ve seen a wide range of buyers entering the market in 2012, from those looking to take their first step onto the housing ladder to families looking to up size to larger properties.”
He added: “No matter what type of property you are thinking of selling, the opportunities are now there so we are urging home owners to get in touch and arrange a market appraisal as soon as possible.”
