A Fenland travel agent will be doing its bit to help those less fortunate this Christmas.
Staff at the Holiday With Us branches in High Street, March, and Market Place, Wisbech, are collecting for the Food Bank.
The Tressell Trust, which runs food banks across the country, is expecting to see record levels of demand this Christmas.
Travel agent director Christina Purcell is appealing for donations of food.
She said: “Our aim is to fill up our food banks with as much as possible so those less fortunate can have food hampers.
“Please empty your cupboards and clear away any unwanted items as we will take anything that can be used again to give to a person or family that needs it this year.”
Donations of good quality toys and Teddy bears will be accepted, along with cans and packets of dried food such as pasta. Sponge or rice puddings, soaps, sugar, jam, biscuits or snack bars are welcome, along with tinned meat and fish and tea bags.
Fresh or frozen food is not suitable.
