Wisbech is expecting another massive crowd on Monday (December 16) for its traditional festive market.
Last year’s attracted more than 10,000 visitors and everyone is hoping that will be repeated this time.
The fun starts at 9am, with the grand opening by Wisbech Mayor Sam Hoy and MP Steve Barclay due to take place at 11am, and continues until 4.30pm.
There will be more than 100 stalls and attractions spread throughout the town centre, including over 20 for the craft fair that is spread across St Peter’s Church Hall and the Castle.
Live reindeer, a big draw last year, will again be on view in Museum Square, sponsored by the Horsefair Shopping Centre, and numerous other entertainers will be strolling the streets all day. Local schoolchildren will be singing carols.
A free park and ride service will be available from Elme Hall Hotel/Morrison’s bus stop from 10am to 4pm.
