Staff and customers at the George’s Bar in March are planning something different for this year’s Children In Need weekend as they prepare to do a ‘fire walk’ across hot coals.

Only 30 places are available and landlord Nigel Marsh has already committed to walking across the burning coals, possibly wearing a Pudsey outfit.

The aim is to beat last year’s fundraising total of £1,500. The event is Sunday November 17 at 7pm and some places are still available for anyone who wants to take part. Anyone willing to volunteer for the Fire Walk needs to initially provide a £50 deposit to secure a place, to be refunded from sponsorship.

Add your name to the list by calling 01354-650551. Potential fire walkers need to be available at the bar from 6pm on November 17 to take part in training.
