Seven fire engines and a water carrier have been battling a house fire overnight in Wisbech.
Primrose Cottage on South Brink, which is surrounded by vegetation and high trees, was well alight when the first engines arrived at just after 1am this morning (Wednesday).
Two appliances from Wisbech, one from Outwell, one from March, one from Yaxley, one from Stanground, one from Dogsthorpe and the water carrier from Yaxley were all in attendance at the incident.
Few details are available at this time, but at 9am crews from Chatteris, Whittlesey, Ramsey and Ely were still in attendance. The A47 was closed for a time but has now reopened.
