Bonfire celebrations will go off with a bang in Fenland thanks to a host of events.
All Saints Inter-Church Academy in March will once again be hosting its firework spectacular on Friday.
Organised by the Friends of the school, the event kicks off from 5.30pm.
Tickets, priced at £4 for adults and £3 for children, are available from the school office on 01354 659000.
Wisbech St Mary Primary School will be holding its popular firework display on Saturday.
Organised by the Parent, Teacher Association, this year’s display promises to be even bigger than last year’s.
A professional pyrotecnic company will be setting off the fireworks at 6.15am and 7.30pm. The event will also include a bonfire along with a host of other games, tombola, fair rides and hot food.
Last year the event raised more than £6,000 for the school and is its biggest fundraiser of the year. It helps to pay for school equipment, a panto visit and for groups coming into the school.
Sparklers, alcohol and smoking are not allowed on the school grounds.
Entry is £4 for adults and £3 for children.
Also promising to go off with a bang on Saturday is a firework spectacular at The Manor Leisure Centre in Whittlesey.
The fun kicks off at 3pm with fairground rides, inflatables and food stalls. The firework display will start at about 7.45pm and two bands, New Generation Crash and Burn and Phoenix Calling, will be playing all evening.
Tickets, costing £3.50 for adults and £2.50 for children, are available online at www.newvisionfitness.co.uk, or at The Manor in Station Road.
