The big bang came to All Saints Primary School in County Road at March on Friday when the PTA hosted its annual firework display and bonfire spectacular.
This was the tenth anniversary event which was billed as its biggest yet. The event was open to the public and for the second year, the school’s Parent/Teachers’ Association had hired a professional company for the array of fabulous fireworks.
Tanya Roberts, PTA vice-chair, said it was “absolutely brilliant”. “The weather was perfect for us and we had lots of crowds.
“This is one of our biggest money earners for the year and it is a great way of showing how a school and PTA can come together.”
Tanya said the event was well supported by visitors as it is one of the few public firework displays still being held locally.
The event also included fun fair rides, lots of stalls and refreshments.
The PTA raised £3,500 from the night which will go towards an outside classroom area and canopy for the field.
