St Andrew’s Church in Outwell celebrates its 50th anniversary this year and the flower festival reflects this.
The theme for the annual festival is 50 years and will see the church filled with flowers between June 7 and 10.
Margaret Spicer from St Andrew’s said: “We would love to see people who have been involved in the church over the last 50 years. There was a big Sunday School and lots of people must have memories of their time here.”
Mrs Spicer is hoping plenty of people will come along to the flower festival and share their memories, as well as any photos from over the years.
As well as the floewrs, there will be stalls, games, a raffle and refreshments on all days.
The festival starts on Friday, June 7 with Holy Communion at 9.15am. The church is open from 10am to 5pm, with bruch served between 11.30am and 1.30pm.
The church is open on Saturday between 10am and 5pm, with light lunches between 11.30am and 1.30pm. A barbecue will be served at 5pm.
The Sunday service at 10.45am will be taken by Rev Jack Lucas, who used to preach in the area. On Sunday afternoon, there will be organ recitals in the afternoon with cream teas served. The evening service will be at 6.30pm with Rev Canon Graham Thompson, chair of the district.
On Monday, again the church will open between 10am and 5pm, with songs of praise at 2pm followed by tea.
