Free money advice for Waterlees residents

A FREE debt advice and money management service is going to be offered to residents in the Waterlees area of Wisbech from September 7.

Fenland Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) is launching ‘Money Matters’ – a project offering free, confidential and impartial advice.

The project, funded by Roddons Housing Association, will provide a CAB Specialist Advisor who will be based at the Community House in Southwell Road.

The advisor will be available each week to offer debt and money management advice for the local community as well as running financial awareness sessions that will give support on budgeting and maximising income.

Beverley Howard, chief officer at Fenland CAB, said: “This is a difficult time for many clients, but those on lower incomes suffer more than most. We hope by making our service easily accessible to the local residents we can help those most in need and at the same time tackle some of the causes of poverty such as lack of information about financial products.”

If you would like further information about this service or would like an appointment to speak with an advisor please contact the Fenland CAB on 01945-464367 or visit the Community House in Southwell Road.
