WISBECH based Rapid Recruitment has raised £400 for the King’s Lynn based charity, Scotty’s Little Soldiers.

Founded in 2010 by Wisbech resident, Nikki Scott, herself an army widow with two small children, the charity raises funds to support the children of men and women who have been killed while serving in the British Armed Forces.

Smart Cookies Bakeries of King’s Lynn donated 300 cakes and cookies and Rapid’s staff visited a large number of local businesses, selling the cakes to company staff, with all proceeds going to Scotty’s Little Soldiers.

Lionel Sheffield, director of Rapid Recruitment, said: “We wanted to support a local charity and Scotty’s Little Soldiers is an extremely worthy cause.

“We are very grateful to Smart Cookies for the wonderful cakes. We are also very grateful to all the businesses that allowed us on to their premises to sell the cakes.

“In particular, we would like to thank Anson Packaging, Allpress Farms, the Butters Group, Delamores, East Anglia Installations, FT Short, the Fountain Group, Iron Mountain, Harvey Jones, Premier Choice, Plasgran and Seafield.”
