There were basket-loads of Easter fun at Skylark Garden Centre over the Bank Holiday weekend.

The Funyard opened its doors at the Wimblington garden centre, even if the unpredictable weather threatened to spoil things. It’s open until April 14.

A new 25-metre zipwire got its official opening on Friday by Fenland District Councillor Mike Cornwell, chairman of Fenland Tourism Board.

And there were the bouncy castles, go-karts, slide, tractor rides and more to keep the children busy at the start of the two-week school holidays.

Youngsters visiting the Funyard also got to see the animals, including some lambs that definitely had the “aah” factor. The babies got a fuss made of them and visitors got a chance to bottle-feed the excited lambs.

The Easter bunny even made a visit to the Funyard and left lots of eggs for the children to find on Easter Monday.

Peppa Pig also came along to join in the fun. She will be make a repeat visit to Skylark on Wednesday, April 10 from 11am to 12pm and 12.30 to 1.30pm.
