Upwell Girls’ Brigade is celebrating 120 years of the Girls’ Brigade organisation with a special service.

This takes place on Sunday September 29 at 10.30am at the Methodist Church in Upwell followed by a balloon release, cutting of a birthday cake by former and present members and a family barbecue.

There will be a display of memorabilia which will hopefully rekindle fond memories for former members and it is hoped former members will come along and meet up with old friends.

If you want to attend the barbecue or have some old photographs to share, contact Karen on 01945-860050 or email: karen.little123@live.co.uk

The Girls’ Brigade was formed in 1893 in Ireland with the aim of providing girls with spiritual guidance, physical training and friendship.
