IT was ladies only at a 1950s pin-up ball on Friday night.
Mums Angela Stocker and Catherine Carman organised the special ball, which took place at Doddington Village Hall.
It saw more than 70 ladies from across the area donning their best 50s outfits and dancing the night away to both classic and modern songs.
Ange said: “It was absolutely fantastic. The ladies looked fabulous and the hall looked really good.”
There were some stunning costumes on the red and white polka dot theme. The prize for ‘best dressed’ went jointly to Louise Rhodes and Mel Algate, as the organisers could not decide between them. The ladies both received a bottle of champagne each.
The barmen and DJ even joined in the dressing-up fun, coming as seamen and a Rat Pack member.
This is not the first time Ange and Cat have been party planners – in 2009, they organised a successful fantasy ball and burlesque ball.
However, they are now having a break. A couples-ball or one that is open to everyone has been suggested, but won’t be planned in the near future.
“We’re probably going to have a break for a while,” Ange said. “It was quite stressful planning this!”
