Four members of the 3rd Wisbech Senior Section group enjoyed an unforgettable adventure in Denmark.
The girls aged 14 to 18 were accompanied by two leaders and travelled to Odense on the island of Fune. They stayed with host families from a Danish Ranger group during the three-day visit and attended both Guide and Senior Section meetings where they exchanged skills and made friends.
The Rangers visited the home of Hans Christian Andersen, they delivered a message from the Mayor of Wisbech, Viv MacRae, to the Mayor of Odense and travelled by train to the capital city of Copenhagen where they saw the famous Little Mermaid in the harbour. They climbed to the top of the Round Tower for a fantastic view of the city and looked at the Royal Palace. All four were using the experience to gain their International octant certificates as part of The Senior Section programme.
