The glamour of Bollywood came to West Norfolk during a Thinking Day.

A total of 72 Rainbows, Brownies and Guides from the Freebridge Marshland district enjoyed learning about India during the day.

The event was organised by District Commissioner Moira Keith with the intent of encouraging the girls to compare their lifestyles with that of girls on another continent.

One of the highlights was learning Bollywood style dancing with guidance from instructor Natalie Barton.

The girls also had a go at Mendhi hand painting and finding out how to wear a sari. They also enjoyed making lotus flowers, peacocks, jewellery and peg dolls. There was also a spot of Indian food tasting.

The evening ended with a mass Bollywood dance before the girls renewed their Guiding promises.
