MARCH bowler Graham Woollard has won his category in the East of England Blind Bowls competition for the fourth consecutive year – prompting jokes the trophy should be renamed the Graham Woollard Cup.

Graham was triumphant in the B3 category – the category for players with the most vision – against bowlers from across the East of England and once again took home the trophy.

The tournament, organised and run by the Rotary Club, was held for the first time at Lakeside Sports and Social Club in Lyng.

This year, Graham’s was the only trophy the March and District Blind Bowlers Club brought home, but Gordon Jackson from the club said it gives them more incentive for next year.

The club meets on Wednesday afternoons, from 1.45pm, at March Bowling Club, Robingoodfellows Lane. They are always looking for new members and volunteers to help out. Anyone is welcome to turn up at the meetings.
