Two charities were presented with cheques by Breathe Easy Fenland on Thursday.

At the group’s AGM, held in March St Peter’s Church Hall, What Next and the Community Respiratory Team from Doddington Hospital both received cheques for £250.

Chairman Sylvia Mansfield said members were keen to give to local groups and that £500 would also be given to the British Lung Foundation.

Two members were also honoured for their dedication at the meeting and were presented with Breath of Fresh Air awards. Brenda Palomar has raised a significant amount of the money for the branch by selling items such as books throughout the year. Christine Hyde was also given an award for doing the refreshments free of charge for the past four years.

Breathe Easy Fenland meets at St Peter’s Church Hall, March, between 2pm and 4pm on the first Thursday of every month. For more details contact Sylvia on 01354-651821.
