Half term kicks off in style - whatever the weather - at the Spinney adventure playground in Wisbech next week.

With staffed activities all week from Tuesday 29 October to Saturday 2 November there is fun to be had for everyone, whether you live locally to the playground or are coming from further afield.

Activities during the week will include den building and games outside, and craft activities inside.

Wednesday 30 October will see the playground being transformed into a hive of Halloween activity, as organisers host a fancy dress Halloween party from 4.30pm to 7.00pm. Activities will include a fancy dress competition and prize, Spooky House lucky dip, ghostly photos, a fire pit broth, a zombie competition and a cake stand and refreshments. Tickets are 50p per child. Adults are welcome to come along and help, as volunteers will be needed.

On Saturday 2 November local residents will have an opportunity to visit the New Horizons bus, which will be parked in the Spinney car park, with its aim of ‘bringing practical help with money to your doorstep. Adults are welcome to come on board to:

* share best money tips and ideas

* enter a free prize draw

* pick up money saving tips and ideas

* access one-to-one confidential help

* access the internet

* gain independent advice from the CAB.
