There were plenty of spooking goings on at Wisbech on Monday when the New Beginnings day care centre at Barton Road started a week of Halloween activities for its clients.

Staff turned a room at the Evergreen Venture Park premises into a spooky dungeon with creepy castle-like doors.

The pool table was transformed into a crypt and spiders and their webs hung from the ceiling.

As well as the decorations and staff dressing up, there was a disco and buffet.

The day centre is for vulnerable adults aged from 18 with a range of disabilities.

On a less spooky note, the centre was celebrating after receiving a ‘thank you’ card from William the Duke of Cambridge, Kate and baby George after staff sent a card of congratulations to Buckingham Palace when baby George was born.

The thank you came in the form of a picture of the happy family together.
