We are Wisbech is arranging the town’s first Halloween Moon Market. The 31 October event will present traditional market stalls, local and imported produce, gifts and food. Weather permitting, there will be a children’s Haunting and Witching Parade at 7pm.
We are Wisbech is organising a Halloween Moon Market on the town’s Market Place. The event will open at 5pm on Thursday, 31 October, offering a selection of traditional market stalls and handmade craft goods, as well as food and drink from the UK and Europe. With witchcraft in the air, there may even be an owl to meet or a ghost to spot!
The Halloween Moon Market follows the warm reception received by the first We are Wisbech Moon Market in August. It will follow on from free children’s costumed Halloween activities running from 3 to 5 pm in The Horsefair Shopping Centre and coincides with a pre-teens Halloween disco at the Wisbech Institute.
The disco runs from 5 to 7pm. Tickets are available from The Cat’s Pyjamas Emporium, 9 Union Street, Wisbech, PE13 1DJ and cost £5 per child, to include a hot meal and competitions, including a pumpkin judging event. Surprise guests are promised and adults are welcome to come along for free – hot food will be available for them to buy.
Wisbech will also be alive with junior Ghost Hunters from Monday, 28 to Thursday, 31 October, as children search the town’s shops for hidden letters to make up a spooky sentence. Entry forms are available from The Cat’s Pyjamas Emporium and the winner’s draw will take place at the Halloween disco.
