Wisbech town centre will get into the Halloween spirit next week.
More than 40 traders have signed up to be part of the popular trick or treat trail which has been organised by the town’s Horsefair Shopping Centre.
A climbing wall and a host of other activities will be put on in the town centre on Friday, October 31, from 3-5pm.
Another attraction will include the moon market, which will feature regular traders but also other local producers of food and crafts.
It is hoped there will also be some entertainment as well as hot food and drink available. This event is endorsed by Wisbech Town Council and the “Healthy High Street” initiative.
One of the people behind the event is Dean Reeves. He said: “This is just one event aimed at bringing together the diverse community of our town to share some fun – but, as important, to bring people back into the heart of Wisbech.
“If we want the High Street to fight back against the retail parks, we have to offer something special – we need to offer a variety of events and experiences in the Market Place to demonstrate how great it can be.
“We have some great independent shops but too many of them remain relatively unknown.”
