Children’s services sweep the board at Trust staff awards ceremony

Services for children won five of the eight Awards presented at the Cambridgeshire Community

Services NHS Trust Staff Excellence and Innovation awards held at Huntingdon Racecourse recently.

John Peberdy, Children’s Services Manager said: “My congratulations to all those who won these awards - they are part of an amazing group of people that provide care to children and their families improving their quality of life on a daily basis.”

Carly Love, Inpatient Unit Manager at the Arthur Rank Hospice in Cambridge and the Friends of the

North Cambs Hospital in Wisbech also won Awards recognising their dedication and commitment to local services, whilst Dr Catherine Ford from the Trust’s Oliver Zangwill Centre for Neuropsychological

Rehabilitation won the Chairman’s Outstanding Achievement Award for Innovation.

Commenting on the Ceremony, Trish Davies, Vice Chairman, Cambridgeshire Community Services

NHS Trust explained: “We had a wonderful afternoon celebrating the achievements of our staff. It was truly inspirational to hear the stories and see the work that our staff are doing to make things better not only for their patients, but for their colleagues and our Trust.”

Matthew Winn, Chief Executive at the Trust added: “I am extremely proud of the commitment that our staff show in providing high quality services to local people. These awards recognise the unsung heroes within the local NHS who make a real difference to people’s lives. They were nominated by their colleagues and the many compliments and thanks our staff receive from patients, clients and relatives are testimony to the high standards of care they deliver.”

Twenty four members of staff who had collectively dedicated over 360 years to the NHS were also thanked for their long service.
