CHARITIES supporting the armed forces will benefit from the publication of a new book celebrating the life and times of a famous Welsh artist.

Former North Wales journalist and radio presenter Ian Skidmore, who lives in March, has promised all of the royalties of his new book on Kyffin Williams, ‘The man who painted in Welsh’, to Help for Heroes and other service help bodies.

Ian (82) has battled cancer during the last couple of years, but it didn’t stop him from rewriting and updating his original book.

Ian said: “Thanks to my publishing friends Revel Barker and Neil Marr, the 30 odd books I have written are being re-published and all the royalties are going to service charities.”
