ASDA worker Mark Hennessy and 10 male colleagues at the Wisbech store went through the pain of waxing on Friday to raise cash for Children in Need.
Fellow worker Jackie Mews wielded the wax to make Mark’s back as smooth as a baby’s bottom along, while other of her ‘victims’ had their arms, legs and chests waxed.
The store also staged a collection with Pudsey manning a collecting bucket for donations.
Staff baked and sold cakes to colleagues during the day too.
Coral Cox, the store’s Community Life Champion who is responsible for fundraising, was delighted with the success of the day which netted £624 for the BBC’s children’s charity appeal.
She said: “It was a great day, people were very generous. The colleagues who under went the waxing were great sports. We even had one member of the public volunteer to have his legs waxed on the day, which was fantastic.
“We are still collecting sponsorship but I think it will top £200 so in total we will have raised over £820 for Children in Need this year, which a brilliant total.”
