A GROUP of former boys’ school pupils enjoyed a reunion on Saturday, almost 54 years after leaving Hereward School.
A total of 44 people attended the reunion meal at the Oliver Cromwell Hotel in March.
Many pupils from the class of 1957 travelled great distances to be at the special reunion, with some coming from as far away as Anglesey, Derbyshire and Yarmouth.
The last reunion was in 1983 and some former teachers were able to attend, but sadly they have all passed away now.
The function was organised by Barry Pope, who was helped by old school friends Colin Rush, Ken Parrish and Philip Softley.
Barry said: “It was brilliant, talking about old times and it was good to see everybody.”
He also praised the Oliver Cromwell for providing an excellent buffet meal.
