THE hall at St Andrew’s Methodist Church in Outwell was filled with the sounds of fun and laughter last week.
The annual holiday club, this year called ‘Rocky’s Plaice’, was branded “the best ever” by the volunteers who run it, with 35 children on the books.
Youngsters from Outwell and the surrounding villages went along and enjoyed a variety of fun activities that kept them amused from the start of the session to the end.
Each day had a different Bible theme and there were plenty of craft activities, from cooking to making fish ponds and tablemats.
The grown-ups got involved as well, presenting “The Adventures of Salt and Vinegar”, two hapless chefs who kept everyone smiling.
The success of the holiday club has prompted the possibility of an expansion to the after-school club in September.
