Anti-social behaviour has forced the Horsefair Shopping Centre in Wisbech to close its toilets from Monday, June 17.
A spokesperson for Horsefair owners NewRiver Retail said: “It is really disappointing that we have reached a point where we have no choice but to close the toilets for the time being.”
Toilets are currently inspected every hour and cleaned if an incident occurs, but the spokesperson said there is a “worrying” number of incidents happening in between.
The decision was made to close the toilets to protect shoppers and their families.
The toilets will be reopened for events and a pay-on-entry system is being looked into. The disabled toilet will remain open for holders of radar keys.
