THE grieving sister of two brothers killed in a car crash has unveiled a plaque in their memory.
Abbie Jacobs (16) organised to have the plaque placed at Chatteris Cromwell Community College in memory of her brothers Matthew (19) and Mitchell (18), who died in the accident last August at Elsworth near Papworth Everard.
The boys were both former Cromwell Community College pupils.
Abbie, who is in Year 11 and about to take her GCSEs, provided the words for the plaque, which has been sponsored by local undertakers JH Landin.
She also spoke during the presentation of the plaque on Wednesday at the college thanking everyone for their support following her brothers’ tragic death.
Abbie, whose parents Mick and Rosemary Jacobs were among those present at the ceremony, also provided a poignant verse for the plaque.
She said: “Matthew and Mitchell were two fun and loving boys with big hearts and a great sense of humour. They are sadly missed by all those who knew them and losing them has left us with broken hearts.”
The plaque will be on displayed among other memorial plaques in the school.
