MARCH teenager Grace Coe is doing better in hospital after suffering severe injuries following a house fire last week.

The 17-year-old sustained a skull fracture and bleeding on the brain after jumping from the first floor of her Elm Road home.

She remains in Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, with her family at her side.

A family member said she had improved slightly over the weekend. She is now awake and recognises her parents.

“She’s been asking for her mum. She just wants her mum there,” Grace’s aunt said.

However, Grace has no memory of the fire.

A fire investigation has been carried out but the results have not yet been released by Cambs Fire.
