LOCAL artist and social entrepreneur, Karen Harvey has been invited to exhibit her artwork with the Royal College of Art at the Gulbenkian galleries in Kensington Gore, London.
Award winning artist Karen Harvey has exhibited widely across the UK, America, Germany and Israel. She is also Artistic Director of Atelier East, the organisation which promotes and supports the arts in the Fenland Area, Director of the social enterprise Fenland Scrapstore with it’s main aim to help support local businesses and make Fenland a more environmentally friendly area and Director of the charity, Peterborough Sculpture Trust. Karen also curates exhibitions herself, promoting the work of artists through different venues such as the Menier Gallery in London.
Karen said: “I am really pleased to support the RCA’s students in any way I can. There’s a lot of talented people out there, and not all of them are financially privileged, but that shouldn’t mean they miss out in any way.”
There will be other artists exhibiting alongside Karen such as, Tracey Emin, Mary Quant and David Bailey. The exhibition will run from Friday 18th November until Friday 25th November. Admission is free and on the 24th November the exhibition will be open until 9pm.
