TWO items unearthed in Outwell were declared treasure at inquests on Monday.
A mourning ring dated to the 16th-17th Century was found on land owned by John Harrison on August 30 last year. It had the inscription “The end is deth.”
The ring was unearthed by metal detectorist Michael Carlisle who was also responsible for the second find - an incomplete Medieval silver pilgrim badge.
The badge, dated to the 15th century, was found on December 31 last year.
William Armstrong, Norfolk coroner, declared both treasure at hearings at King’s Lynn County Court.
