Back by popular demand is a second staging of an historical presentation by Bill Smith on the Wisbech Canal at the Tower Ballroom, Wisbech Social Club and Institute on December 6.
Money raised from the evening is for much-needed funds for the Institute building. Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. The evening features a collection of photographs, maps and illustrations which tell the story of the canal which used to run from Wisbech to Outwell.
There is also the chance to see the town in the 1960s through the lens of Geoff Hastings. Tickets are £10 which includes a buffet, from Etcetera in York Row, Wisbech (01945-463440) or Bill Smith on 01945-772712.
There will also be a 50/50 draw.
