St Peter’s Church Gardens and Wisbech Park remain among the best green spaces in the country – and that’s official.

For the sixth year running, they have both won Green Flag awards from the environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy.

The flags reward the best parks and green spaces across the country. They show that the space demonstrates the highest possible standards, is beautifully maintained and has excellent facilities.

Councillor Peter Murphy, Fenland District Council’s portfolio holder responsible for the environment, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to get the Green Flag for both places yet again. It’s a great achievement and a tribute to the hard work and dedication of our parks team.”
