A NEW social group for knitters was launched in March on Tuesday.
Now 4 Knitters meets on the last Tuesday of the month in March Library and is open to anyone who has an interest in knitting.
The group was set up by Engage, a Cambs County Council project that develops community opportunities through libraries.
Maggie Brown, from Engage, said: “Craft has become a very popular event. Knitting in particular has become very popular in the last five years.”
Maggie was approached by two ladies interested in setting up a knitting group and she helped them make Now 4 Knitters a reality.
Although there is no official teaching, there are many experienced knitters there who will be happy to give advice and guidance and there are lots of books in the library if you are stuck for inspiration.
For more information, contact Janet Pickering at the library.
