Labrinth stars at Adnams Newmarket Nights

Labrinth was today revealed as the latest artist for this year’s Adnams Newmarket Nights at Newmarket Racecourses.

The singer, songwriter and producer, who achieved his first number one single with ‘Beneath Your Beautiful’ late last year, will perform at the July Course on Friday 26 July.

He joins Madness, Kaiser Chiefs, Keane and Simple Minds among the fantastic acts playing on Friday nights at the racecourse this summer.

Labrinth, the stage name of Timothy McKenzie, shot to fame in 2010 and was signed by Simon Cowell to his record label. His debut album, ‘Electronic Earth’, peaked at number two in the charts last year, and the singer revealed recently that he is working on his second album.

Among his appearances during 2012, Labrinth performed at Newmarket Racecourses’ sister track at Cheltenham to celebrate the occasion of the Olympic torch coming through the Gloucestershire town.

Adnams Newmarket Nights attracted audiences totaling over 100,000 last year –and another total attendance well into six figures is expected over seven dates this summer.

As well as the Adnams Newmarket Nights with Simple Minds (21 June), Madness (19 July), Labrinth (26 July), Kaiser Chiefs (2 August) and Keane (9 August) which have been announced, there are two other concerts at the July Course in Newmarket on Friday evenings over the summer – on 28 June and 16 August. The two remaining bands and artists will be announced later this month.

Tickets details for the Labrinth concert are as follows:

£38 (Premier Enclosure), £33 (Grandstand & Paddock) and £23 (Family Enclosure). Tickets for children aged 5-17 are priced for the three enclosures at £18, £17 and £12 respectively. Children’s tickets are limited and must be purchased in conjunction with adult tickets. Once the reduced price child ticket allocation has been reached, adult prices apply.
