99p Store to fill Wisbech Woolworths

THE former Woolworths shop in Wisbech has finally been filled after standing empty for eight months.

Discount shop chain 99p Stores is opening there next Thursday, creating 30 jobs, and will be the first branch to be opened in Cambridgeshire.

The chain is specifically targeting vacant Woolworths stores and 30 across the country have so far been opened, with another 30 planned by the end of the year.

The Wisbech store will be open from 9am. The first 500 paying customers will get a large bar of Toblerone each and competitions will be held to celebrate the opening with prizes up for grabs including iPods.

There is also a chance to become a VIP shopper for the day, cutting the official ribbon and winning a 99 second trolley dash.

To enter, say in up to nine words why you love a bargain and email answers to wisbech@gbpublicityltd.com. The deadline is September 1.
