Oliver Borman has just got the all-clear after battling lymphoma cancer and his friend Joe Johnson is organising a charity auction in celebration.

After watching a friend fight lymphoma cancer, a Fenland man is organising an auction to raise cash for a blood cancer charity.

Joe Johnson has arranged a host of great prizes for the auction, which will raise money for Lymphoma and Leukaemia Research when it is held on November 23.

He was inspired to organise the event after seeing his childhood friend Oliver Borman (26) receive treatment at Addenbrooke’s Hospital.

Joe said: “Just recently Oliver has got the all-clear and is now having his final chemotherapy sessions. The auction evening will be a fantastic way to celebrate the great news.”

The auction will be held at Sutton St James on November 23. Items up for grabs include a signed Norwich city shirt, Ryan Giggs shirt, beauty treatments, items donated by bands such as Black Sabbath, meals out and days at the races among others.

Tickets are £5 to the event and all proceeds from tickets sales and auctioned items go to the charity. On the evening there will also be a disco and bar and everyone buying a ticket gets a voucher for the greyhound track in Peterborough.

Tickets can be purchased through C Johnson on 07857-423724 or from The Five Bells in Tydd St Mary. Tickets must be purchased in advance.
