Charity boosted by dedicated Murrow woman’s efforts

Kerri Stukins from Murrow is celebrating after successfully organising many local events to raise an amazing £1,000 for a charity close to her heart for the second year in a row.

Kerri, 21, organised a cake stall and raffle at her mum and dad’s work place where she had lots of support from Greencore employees, family and friends.

She also organised a charity car boot at Skylark in March – as well as taking part in the Peterborough Race for Life.

“This is the second year I have raised money for Cancer Research UK and I am so proud to have raised so much,” said Kerri.

“I couldn’t have done it without the support of my family and I would like to say a big thank-you to everyione who donated.

“Raising money for research into cancer is something I care about a lot, and I shall keep on doing it”

Kerri handed over the cheque to Laura Holland, Cancer Research UK’s senior local fundraising manager, who said: “We are absolutely delighted and would like to thank Kerri. She is an amazing person and has done incredibly well with her fundraising and continued support.

“Cancer Research UK has made enormous progress in the fight against cancer and continues to do so. However, we have only been able to do this thanks to the dedication and commitment of our supporters such as Kerri, without whom we would not be able to fund our vital research.”
