Local charities and organisations have benefited from the generosity of historic vehicle enthusiasts.

The Wisbech and District Historic Vehicle Club raises hundreds of pounds through its annual road run, which sees a convoy of vehicles go from Wisbech to Peterborough and back again.

The main recipient was the East Anglian Air Ambulance which received £430, money raised through a massive raffle. The rest of the money distributed came from the road run itself.

A donation of £100 was given to Railworld as thanks for supplying a venue in Peterborough at the last minute. The Queen Mary Centre was also given £100.

The following groups were each given £150: Meadowgate School, Wisbech and District Cancer Support, Wisbech Salvation Army, SERV Blood Bikes and Fenland Aviation Museum.

The club is supported by Elgoods and Robin Hotson from the company was on hand to present the cheques.
