Two Fenland secondary schools were closed last week as public sector workers went on strike to protest against pay and pensions.
Neale Wade Academy in March and Cromwell College in Chatteris shut their doors to pupils on Thursday last week but re-opened as normal on Friday.
Thousands of public sector workers across the country walked out in protest against pay rises and pension changes proposed by the Government.
Neale Wade headteacher Jason Wing took the decision to close on safety grounds due to teacher numbers.
He said: “We were disappointed to close.”
The impact of the strike on Fenland District Council services was low due to the number of workers taking part.
