Less than eight months since Wisbech Food Bank opened its doors, its 1,000th food parcel has been distributed.

This means that at least 500 men, women and children have been provided with a balanced and nourishing selection of food and drink to help them through a crisis.

But for work to continue, the food bank needs to recruit more volunteers to help with supermarket collections, which take place around once a month.

If you think you could help please contact us either by leaving your email address and a short messaage on our email site info@wisbech.foodbank.org.uk or by phoning Keith Aplin on 01945-461938. Alternatively, visit the Wisbech Baptist Church in Hill Street on Mondays or Fridays between 2pm and 4pm.

If you feel you need help from the Food Bank, you will need to obtain a voucher from a distributor, details of which can be found at the Food Bank.
