Businesses have the chance to learn effective ways of cutting their transport costs at a free seminar in Wisbech next week (February 14).

Expert advice and help will be given on a range of topics, including the latest developments in alternative fuels and making the best use of the railways. Information on other support and grant funding that is available will also be provided.

The seminar is at the Boathouse on Friday, February 14, 8.45-10.30am. It will be delivered by Fenland District Council’s Green Business Club and Resource Efficiency East. Funding has come from Anglian Water as part of their efforts to help businesses to save money by using resources more sustainably.

Next week’s seminar is the latest in a series on the efficient use of resources. It follows a successful one on water held last month. Others are planned on waste on March 20 and on energy on April 11.

Places are free but advance booking is essential. To book places for February 14 and for more details on all the seminars, contact Isabel Edgington, Fenland District Council’s senior environmental projects officer, on 01354 654321 or email iedgington@fenland.gov.uk.
