Norfolk Constabulary is joining forces with West Norfolk Voluntary and Community Action (WNVCA) to support a Hate Free Norfolk.

Hate Free Norfolk Week is taking place from Monday 3 – 7 March and will see supporting officers in different venues throughout the week promoting awareness of The Hate Free Norfolk Pledge. Individuals, businesses and organisations will be encouraged to sign up to the Pledge which is seven commitments which promise to tackle hate crime in all forms and create a Hate Free Norfolk.

PC Natalie Garrard, Diversity Liaison Officer for Norfolk Constabulary, commented; “Anyone can sign-up to the Hate Free Norfolk Pledge whether you a large organisation, a community group or an individual. The idea that everyone joins together to work towards a hate free society.

“We’ll be out and about next week across the district telling people about Hate Free Norfolk and showing them how easy it is to get involved.”

Events planned are as follows:

Monday 3 March, 11am - 3pm, the Bandstand at the Vancouver Quarter, King’s Lynn

Tuesday 4 March, 11-am - 3pm, Tesco, Downham Market

Wednesday 5 March, 11am – 3pm, Tesco, Hardwick

Thursday 6 March, 11am – 3pm, Tesco, Hunstanton

Friday 7 March, 11am – 3pm, Market Square, Swaffham
