Do you want to get fit, make friends and gain the sense of achievement that comes from physical exercise and helping to improve the local environment?

Then go along to “Keep Calm and Volunteer”, a showcasing event being held at the Ferry Project, Octavia View, Wisbech, from 5-7pm next Tuesday (February 4).

Organised jointly by Fenland District Council’s Street Pride and Mytime Active, it gives people the chance to find out more about the benefits of volunteering and how they can get involved.

Mytime Active’s Personal Health Trainers are looking for volunteers to support their health walks in the area and other events such as helping with mini health checks.

All the district’s Street Pride groups are also always keen to recruit new members.

Refreshments will be provided.

For more call FDC’s Street Pride coordinator on 01354-654321 (email streetpride@fenland.gov.uk) or Mytime Active on 077755 32285, or visit www.personalhealthtrainer.org.uk
