Six people remain in police custody this morning, Wednesday, May 22, after they were arrested in connection with alleged suspicious activity in Outwell.

Officers were called to Wisbech Road in the village at around 5.40pm yesterday following reports that a group of people were walking along the main A1101 and approaching members of the public to ask for assistance.

The area was searched and five men and a woman were detained. They remain in custody in King’s Lynn.

No further details have yet been released, though a Norfolk Police spokesman said officers were working with Home Office officials as part of their invesitgation. Further updates are expected later today.
