MARCH: Magpas called out after woman suffers cardiac arrest

A swift response from the Helimedix team helped a March woman who suffered a cardiac arrest this morning.

The Magpas Helimedix team were called to a residential address in March and arrived at 10.46am.

They resuscitated the woman in her 60s and provided advanced life support, while working alongside an EEAST Ambulance crew and paramedic.

The team, made up of Dr Ben Teasdale and volunteer paramedic Mark Glover, then escorted the woman to hospital, monitoring her condition all the way. On arrival at Peterborough City Hospital, the patient was in a critical condition.

The helicopter team who flew the Helimedix to the scene was pilot Andy Figg and crew member Samuel Tompkins.
