A March school celebrated some bloomin’ great news when budding gardeners showed off their talents at an annual summer garden party.
The day before the event at the Neale Wade Academy, the Royal Horticultural Society inspected the garden and gave the school the thumbs-up to deliver a new RHS course from September.
During the garden party, around 20 students demonstrated their green-fingered skills to guests and conducted garden tours.
They also held a question and answer session with fellow students, bingo, tucked into cream teas, took part in a singalong and helped principal Jason Wing dig up a fresh potato for his tea (above).
Around 40 students from Years 7, 8 and 9 contribute to the garden, growing a variety of produce.
