Students at a March school were in the pink when they laced up their shoes to raise hundreds of pounds for Cancer Research UK.
A total of 38 girls – ranging from Years 7 to 12 – from the town’s Neale Wade Academy dressed head-to-toe in pink for the Race for Life event at Ferry Meadows, Peterborough.
Despite the rain, every member of the team completed the 5k event – and they have so far raised around £450 of their £1,000 target for Cancer Research UK.
A school spokesman said the students did brilliantly and also thanked Dew Coaches in Somersham for donating a coach and driver to take them to and from the event.
