A hard-working sixth form student at March Neale-Wade Academy has been offered a place at Cambridge University.
Digby Chappell (17) has an offer to read Engineering at Churchill College on the condition that he achieves the required A-level grades – A* in Further Maths, A* in Physics and A in Maths this summer.
Digby was awarded an Arkwright Scholarship in Year 11. These Engineering Scholarships support students through their A Levels and encourage them to pursue engineering or related areas of design at university or through a higher-level apprenticeship and to take up careers in the field.
They also offer exclusive Undergraduate Scholarships to support a select group of existing Arkwright Engineering Scholars through university. As a result, Digby could receive up to £12,000 towards his studies.
Digby serves on the Sixth Form Council at the Academy, and is working towards Grade 8 in piano.
