Performers will be taking to the stage to prove Newton’s Got Talent on Saturday.

Organisers of the village fete are putting on a talent show and are calling on comedians, singers, dancers and any other acts to take part.

The talent show has a £100 prize. Entry is £1.

A wide range of attractions are also on offer during the fete, which takes place on the Queen Elizabeth Playing Field from 2pm – including a falconry display, fun dog show and a range of stalls.

There will be a cake bake competition, space-themed dress up your bike parade, along with an array of classic vehicles and agricultural machinery.

A display of photographs reflecting village life in Newton will be held in St James Church. Visitors can vote for their top three.
